I can name myself as a foodie. I love food, I travel for food and I like to try something new. One of the cool stuff, which I tried here in Canada and haven’t had back to Russia, is a shaved ice-cream or snowball (different names of the same thing). Basically, it’s an ice flake topped with condensed milk, fruit, and chocolate.
I thought that it’s an Asian dessert because places, where it might be found usually, are Korean restaurants. But going through Wikipedia eventually, I found that it became super popular on or Hawaii and the alternative name is Hawaiian shave ice.
So as soon as I haven’t seen such stuff in Russia – probably it’s a cool idea for the startup and bringing something new to the market – please, use it. You just need to buy the special machine which makes this small flakes from water or almond milk (crushed, rather than shaved, milk ice). Once these flakes are made you need to flavor it by syrups, chocolate, juice and it would be absorbed by the ice instead of surrounding it. Shaved ice in Hawai'i is often flavored with local ingredients such as guava, pineapple, coconut cream, passion fruit, li hing mui, lychee, kiwi fruit, and mango.
