The Philippine heat is scorching lately. This past weekend, our family decided to escape the sweltering sun and head to the mall. After a yummy lunch, we stumbled upon a delightful brownie shop. The aroma of fresh-baked treats was too much to resist, so we grabbed a box of delicious lemon blondies - chewy and bursting with lemon flavor.
We couldn't stop there though! We ventured over to Auntie Anne's for some warm, gooey pretzels with a hint of cinnamon. The perfect sweet and savory combo. To quench our thirst, it was cold drinks for the teens and hot coffee for the adults.
The rest of the afternoon was spent browsing stores, checking out new collections, and maybe even mentally adding a few "must-have" items to our shopping carts. All this while, the cool air of the mall kept us comfortable.
By sunset, we were feeling happy and refreshed, with full bellies and a renewed sense of family fun. So next time the heat gets unbearable, remember the mall is your cool escape! Enjoy some treats, beat the heat, and have some fun with your family.
