Simple Recipe: Traditional York Pudding Cups!

Despite its name, this "pudding" is not a dessert. Traditionally served with roast beef, the popover-like-pastry makes for a tasty snack!

Recipe:

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tbsp butter melted

Mix milk and water. Reserve. In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Make well in the center: break eggs into it. Using spoon, beat eggs. Gradually add milk mixture and flour. Beat until smooth. Let stand in cool place for one hour. Preheat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit. Brush 12 muffin cup bottoms with butter. Evenly divide batter among cups. Bake until puffed, 8-10 mins.

Makes 12

Serve with cheese, peanut butter, jam, shredded chicken, ground beef. You have a host of options with which to served these delicious Yorkshire pudding cups.
