JENANG SENGKOLO (Merah Putih Porridge)
Ingredients
50 Cups
2 liters of Rice
1 kg of glutinous rice
7 Large Sugar Chips
100 gr Sand Sugar
3 small bks Instant Santan (SunKara)
6 Liter Water (can be more **)
10 Lbr Leaf Pandan - tie a knot
Salt taste
Step:
Cook brown sugar with 500 ml water until dissolved then strain & set aside
Rinse rice and sticky rice then put in a large pan together with instant coconut milk, water, pandanus & salt leaves
Cook the rice while stirring until half cooked. Divide the rice into 2 parts
In the 2nd pot, pour brown sugar water & sugar. Cook a second Jenang with small fire continuously so as not to burn until thickened & cooked
๐๐The amount of water can be added when the texture of Jenang is not obtained. ๐๐When you want to add water use hot water so that the jenang does not quickly become dilute & slimy ๐๐The good texture is solid & when lifted and then turned with the spoon does not fall directly ๐๐Tear the brown sugar & sugar can be added to follow the taste masing2
