Siomai sa Tisa

Food is life! Definitely true. This is probably the best mantra in the universe.

You can never really get enough of Cebu, Philippines. From it's tourist spots, to all it's flavorful delicacies. So if you ever set foot in Cebu, don't miss to try going on a food trip with your friends and family, which will leave you craving for more.

Our featured food for tonight is Siomai. Along with ngohiong, siomai is originally part of Chinese cuisine, but Cebu's version has become one of the most well-known across the country. And i happen to know just the best place to give it a try. Ladies and gents behold, Siomai sa Tisa.

Siomai sa Tisa, is known for it's distinct, tangy flavor. As they say, once tasted, always wanted. It is best paired with another Cebu's trademark--the hanging rice, known as "puso". This combo is an epitome of perfection. I would highly suggest for you to prepare a huge space in your tummy, because the moment you start eating, you would never want to stop. So just eat till you drop. And the best thing about it is, it won't leave you with an empty pocket.

You don't have to wait for payday to be able to enjoy this treat. With 50php you'll leave the place stuffed, and satisfied. Siomai is only 20php for 3 pieces, while hanging rice is 3php each. With a softdrink, that would cost you 10php, you'll surely end your meal with a big fat burp.

Location
Siomai sa Tisa, true to it's name, is available at Tisa, Labangon. Just 10-15 minutes from downtown Cebu. You may take a taxi, but it would be more practical to take a PUJ instead (budget-wise). Any jeepney with route code starting with 12.
