Kwek-kwek: A Philippine Streetfood

Kwek-kwek also known in English as Orange Quail Eggs is one of the most popular streetfoods in the Philippines.

Basically they are just hard-boiled quail eggs which are dipped in orange batter and then deep fried until crispy.

The kwek-kwek sauce is orange in color which has a sweet and sour taste. It is mixed in onions and cucumber for a more flavorful and yummy taste.

The sauce is then mixed to the quail eggs.
