At Banyan Tree Sanctuary, where I'm currently on photographic assignment till tomorrow, I whipped up (blended) this amazing tropical smoothie!

The jackfruit in my introduce yourself post, isn't ripe enough to make it in the smoothie, however it made a good model for the photo session. Luckily the staff here at Banyan Tree Sanctuary had frozen jackfruit and frozen mango ready to blend in the freezer. I picked the papayas and passionfruit myself.

I blend the passion fruit seeds into the smoothie because of their omega 3 fatty acid content which wouldn't be available if the seeds were going through our digestive system whole, like many other seeds containing omega 3, for instance: flax seed, chia seed and hemp seed. You can chew the passion fruit seeds but when I do so, it hurts my teeth.

I don't keep exact measurements while creating my smoothies, I blend to taste. Here is a shot of the passion fruit flowers. On the Island passion fruit is called Lilikoi.
