IHSG Back to 6,000, US Dollar Still at Rp 14,200's

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) continued its positive opening opening session earlier this week. JCI even managed to return to the level of 6,000 at the close of trading this afternoon.

Strong dollar exchange rate United States (US) against Indonesia rupiah. The US dollar is perched at 14,202. The weekend was at Rp 14,202

In preopening trading, JCI gained 3.878 points (0.06%) to 5,979,620. The LQ45 index rose 0.979 points (0.10%)

Opening trading on Monday (5/28/2018), JCI moved up 7.022 points (0.12%) to 5,982,764. The LQ45 index rose 0.663 points (0.07%) to 959,047.

At 09.05 JATS time, JCI was still in positive zone with 22.841 (0.38%) to 5,998,093. The LQ45 index rose 3.725 points (0.41%) to 962,249.

Entering the trading break this afternoon, JCI is still positive. JCI rose 77.797 points (1.30%) to 6,053,539. The LQ45 index rose 16.255 points (1.70%) to 974.639.

Until this afternoon, JCI is still positive. JCI rose 92,583 points (1.56%) to 6,068,325. The LQ45 index rose 19.279 points (2.01%) to 977.663.

The highest position that was listed by JCI was at 6,080.507 and the lowest at 5,977.004. Stock trading was moderate with trading frequency of 424,559 transactions of 9.5 billion shares worth Rp 8.4 trillion.

Seven stocks rose and led the JCI sped 1.55%. Financial sector stocks raced the fastest this afternoon with a 2.86% gain. A total of 227 shares rose, 158 stocks fell and 127 shares stagnated. Foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp 512.30 billion.

Meanwhile, major US stock indexes closed mixed with the majority closing higher on overnight trading. The Dow Jones Index fell 0.24 percent to 24,753.09, the S & P shedding 0.24 percent to 2,721.33, while the Nasdaq gained 0.13 percent to 7,433.85.

The decline in the majority of US indices is due to a weakening in the energy sector by 2.6% as crude oil prices are depressed.

The Shanghai composite index shed 6.220 points (0.20%) to 3,135,080
The Strait Times Index climbed 5.250 points (0.15%) to 3,158,480
The Hang Seng Index added 204,221 points (0.67%) to 30,792,260.

Top gainers this week include Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI) up Rp 600 to Rp 8,575, Gudang Garam (GGRM) rose Rp 575 to Rp 69,475, Indah Kiat (INKP) increased Rp 550 to Rp 16,550 and Matahari (LPPF) increased Rp 500 to Rp 9,900.

While the top losers are United Tractors (UNTR) down Rp 1,400 to Rp 36,100, Asuransi Ramayana (ASRM) dropped Rp 400 to Rp 2,000, Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) fell Rp 275 to Rp 12,425 and Insurance Tugu (TUGU) fell Rp 250 to Rp 9.60
