Hello again, Hivers. Im here again to share with you my experience after my class. And how beautiful it is to see this back.
So today, there are some students that are here in the CTU DANAO Grandstand and have a dance blocking or rehearsal. This dance is a festival here in Danao City, which is Karansa. So here is some small information about the Karansa festival.
Karansa Festival
Karansa festival originated in Danao City. It is celebrated yearly on the third Sunday of September and in respect to the city's patron saint, Santo Tomas de Villanueva. The celebration is basically an upbeat and perky moving and skipping action in a joint effort with the musicality of music, pounding of the drums, and periodic noisy shouts.
This festival will be performed on the feast day in Danao City. There are so many kinds of foods that they sell. And any things that can be attracted by the viewers.
This part is only a blocking or rehearsal; the performers needed it so that they would rehearse the layout of the stage and their time of traveling to the stage; if they don't rehearse it, the performance is nothing.
The place here while blocking has an ambulance, so that if there are some performers that will be blacked out, they can accommodate it and rest because it is so very hot while in practice and you can't drink water anytime unless the choreographer will instruct the dancers to drink water.
And also the transportation will not be a problem because there are so many available trucks in Danao City to accommodate their props and also the dancers. It also has drivers, so it's not a problem as long as they will give some food to the drivers.
This is a very great experience. Most of the dancers here are high school students from different schools. There are 10 contingents that will be dancing on September 15. This kind of experience is unforgettable because of your memories. Though it is so tiring, hot, and difficult, you can't forget this kind of dance, and the memory will stay still.
