Perfect song by One OK Rock for Father's Day

Happy Father’s day

I am making use of the Father’s day to share a song from my new favorite band group – One Ok Rock. This song also speaks my heart~

(let me share the link from youtube here)

This song full expresses how there lead singer Takahiro (Taka) felt about his father, and I am sure through the lyrics we could extend that to other family members of our own. So please make use of the special day and let them know how much you love them.

Despite this is a Japanese group, they are now exploring the international market, since their earlier album, they have included more and more English lyrics and in recent years, even included whole English version album along side with the Japanese version. And they are having more and more collaborations with international artist such as Avril Lavigne, Alex Gaskarth, 5 Seconds of Summer and Against the Current.

Taka, their lead vocals has a very characteristic voice and had put a lot of effort in improving his English accents. There is a significant difference in getting rid of some of his Japanese accent in their new album Ambition when compare to their older works. And do check out his cover for Adele’s Hello, which just give me Eargasm.

One Ok Rock’s earlier music was quite under the influenced by Linkin Park, which is another band that I love back then. And Taka as the older brother, influence his little brother Hiroki (the lead singer of the band My First Story).

Both One OK Rock and My First Story in Japanese anime-movie-TV series theme songs, such as The Beginning, Heartache, and Mighty Long Fall in the Rorouni Kenshin series or Fukagyaku Replace in Nobunaga Concerto.

Once again happy Father's Day, cherish your love ones and rock on~
