Me and my girlfriend started a new toy store, actually I've had the toy store online for two years now, but we officially opened a physical store last Saturday.
It was a lot of hard work and a lot of money was spend to renovate the shop and to do marketing events in order to get us on the map.
ARE WE ON THE MAP YET???
I'm not sure! We did some Facebook adverts, but what worked much better for us was posting on Facebook groups that was related to teachers and schools and on our local towns Facebook Group. The best is it cost us nothing.
Don't get me wrong, doing Facebook adverts are great, but whats even better is if you can get organic free traffic instead.
I've done Facebook ads previously, some worked quite well and some didn't work very well.
In this instance I'm sorry to say, it didn't work that well for us. Then again, its our first time promoting an event, therefore we might suck at it.
Luckily the event we created for our opening day, AMAZING RACE for KIDS was a success! A lot of kids came and enjoyed the day with us.
All the hard work paid off in the end!!! We do still however have a lot of hard work to get were we want to be!!!
