Some thoughts about eXode's challenge.

A STORY OF THE GAME SUCCESS

Elindos published a splendid post where he throwed some interesting data about the participation in the Evac challenge that reflects the commiment of the players with the game, although its development is being more slow than other crypto games of Hive as Rabona, dCity or others (is also much more complex).

459 games were played to evacuate hundreds of citizens and cargo.

Not bad for a three days of event where all the players weren't active, I know that some relevant captains were unable to participate due to several reasons.

So far there are 125 000 cards owned by players (124 375 to be accurate) with about 400 accounts.

The number of accounts should grow when colonization arrives, as there is some expectation still about the game, many people will wait until it's completed. Logically this is a great opportunity to be an early adopter. There aren't great promotions as they used to be but the internal market has good deals.

SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BUILDS

Frankly speaking I was surprised about the builds that obtained the best scores. The ship that shined the most imo was the Kormen Cargo followed up by the expensive Columbus.

Exode will have very different roles depending of the faction you choose, for example Civilian has two main paths to follow, you could make a passengers oriented build with a Cruise Ship Captain or another one oriented to maximize the cargo crates that you obtain with a Stranded Trader.

The passenger oriented path could be good for colonization but the cargo oriented path will have possibly many difficulties in it (because of the low crew number).

GOOD FOR THE CHALLENGE = GOOD FOR EVAC?

Not really if your target is survive with the less possible damage, we need to take in count that make so high scores represents a huge risk of being anihilated by the aliens.

If your target is the colonization but you want a safe EVAC possibly your best choices are the military builds. Of course you won't have so good rewards (looting cargo) but you can bet that you will have a smoother EVAC.

GOOD FOR THE CHALLENGE = GOOD LOOTER EVAC BUILD

Indeed this is an interesting path to obtain good rewards as soon as possible. You don't need to survive a lot in your colonization if the rewards of the EVAC are good enough, the balance of the evac rewards will be important to see the viability of these kind of builds.

Cheers captains! I hope you enjoyed this article. See you soon.
