ONZ Newsletter - March 2018

Hi ONZ Community,

The success of ICO

First of all, we like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support and thrust you have put in ONZ. The ICO phase went well and we feel privileged to be in the position where we can continue with the development of the ONZ platform with social network integration.

Airdrop & Bounty

Our Airdrop and Bounty campaign was a success. We had almost 3000 participants and Trevor (our Bounty manager) has done a great job guiding them, checking the stakes and keeping the spreadsheet up to date. The Airdrop payout will take place during the 1st week of April and for the Bounty program, it will be during the 2nd and 3rd week of April.

Update from Development

Our dev’s have been working very hard extending utility tools, like explorer functionality, completing final code tweaks to the core network- and delivering the proof of concept ONZProbe, whilst all this time pushing out projects and tools like;

  • Discord Bot built-in block-explorer / ticker and delegate-monitor
  • Custom node management system
  • Network reporter & monitor site
  • Vanity address generator

ONZ Platform

ONZProbe currently works with Twitter and Facebook social network API’s. Users can authenticate the probe via our ONZ-platform, a score is calculated based on the social network engagement during the cycle and weighted with Klout. Once a week, or per block forged, the ‘ONZ payout delegate’ pays everyone who has signed up on the ONZ-platform accordingly.

Currently, during our POC phase, we rely on making individual calls to the social networks API’s to collect the required data for scoring. This is not optimal and very scalable but we are in the middle of negotiating with several social networks, to gain access to their exclusive real-time webhook API’s. Once this is achieved scoring will become even more “real-time”. Because we have a very extensive privacy policy none of your data is ever stored on our servers or used for anything other than engagement score calculation.

We expect public beta testing for the full platform by the end of the month and 4 social networks are planned for the release with even more to come.

Exchange(s) Listing

Over the past months, we achieved several important milestones. We successfully developed and implemented Testnet, Mainnet and our ICO platform. As we all know ‘getting listed’ is very important as well and that’s why we negotiated in this early stage with several exchanges, to get listed as soon as possible. We are pleased to announce the following exchanges that will list ONZ on their exchange.

You can rest assured knowing we are negotiating with other exchanges as well and we’ll share more information via our social channels, once confirmed.

Besides ‘getting listed’ we are also working on the exchange integration with ONZ-explorer for ONZ/BTC pricing, Graph and Order book. To make this happen we are (unfortunately) also depending on the code/API’s of the exchange itself, but will keep working on it and hope to succeed very soon.
