Friends, This is biggest celebration day for Hindu in India. This is known as strong relationship of Brother and Sister. This is second festival day after Rakshabandhan.
On the day of the festival, sisters invite their brothers for a sumptuous meal often including their favorite dishes/sweets. The procedure may be different in different different states like Bihar, Maharashtra, Bangal, Gujarat, and central India. The whole ceremony signifies the duty of a brother to protect his sister, as well as a sister's blessings for her brother.

Wife of God Surya, Chhaya has daughter Yamuna and son Yamraj. Yamuna was always called to Yamraj but he was busy he has know time for went to her sister's home. One day, Yamuna looked to Yamraj on door. She was very happy because this was surprised for her. She cooks sumptuous meal often including their favorite dishes/sweets then Yamraj was very happy and told to her sister that I will fulfill your wishes if you have then she told you will come this day in every year on my home.
