How to do Parkour : Parkour Equipment

Hi! My name is Matthew Willis and we've come to a bit of the equipment time. Now the best thing about parkour is that you need really no equipment at all. All you need is a good pair of sneakers you can run in and you are ready to go. Now if you want to be more of an enthusiast and you want to take care of yourself a little bit better, you are going to try and do a couple of things to protect your health along with your scrapes and bruises and things like that. The first thing I am going to tell you about is the running belt. Every traceur usually has his keys or his cell phone, or a wallet or at least ID. You should always carry an ID with you when you are doing parkour. So this is the Running Belt. It has packages of little pockets and everything. It even has a little place to put your keys and there are secret pockets here and when you look in the back, you can also put things here.

Now you don't want to do that because when you are doing rolls, it will definitely interfere but if you are just running, it is going to be okay. Another thing is a polysorb. This is an insole that you can put inside of your shoe. Now the polysorb crosstrainer insole. It really helps you with impacts and landings and if you want to save your feet from any potential damaging things. These are washable and they last for quite a long time. I've had mine for over a year now and its been great. The next we have this little gadget here and it is a knee support. It helps for ____ slaughter syndrome and a bunch of jumpers and other things like that. You can see it on my knee and you can put it right below here and it really helps with keeping your knee cap in place and not sliding.

It is really important. Another thing is you can wear gloves if you like. Most hard core traceurs don't usually use gloves but when you are first starting out you might want to use a heavy duty type glove. Make sure that things are cut out because you will fall if you are trying to catch on to a ledge. it is not really good. If it is raining outside, it's not going to help anything like that. Another you can try is wrist support. You are impacting your wrist a lot and you can find any type of simple wrist support that will help you out. It is going to keep your wrist from getting injured, carpal tunnel and other things like that. It is really helpful. For the last thing, you want to try and get a really good pair of shoes. Now here I am using the Merrell shoe. There are a lot of different types of shoes you can use out there. These can run you up to £115. The grip is for using wall runs and other activities such as that.
