Yves La Rose - EOS Nation
EOS Nation can no longer be confident that the current design and plan of what is known as ECAF is what is best for the long-term health and growth of the EOS ecosystem and that there are other innovative ways of securing property which should be explored and given consideration.

So assuming that ECAF does stand down , what would happen to orders and cases in process?
Samupaha
Can they just step down? The constitution names ECAF as the default arbitrator, so basically they would openly refusing to do what the constitution demands from them.
That would make the whole constitution meaningless, because there wouldn't be any kind of legitimate ways to enforce any article in it.
Sharif Bouktila - eosDublin
Sure they could. Free world , free people. If they don’t turn up for work nothing can be done.
I’m suggesting that the first item we put to referendum is
Should the current constitution be ratified Yes / No
Best get community onto the same page as a starting point and build from there.
If it’s a no , rules and enforcement will be set by judgement of 15/21 BPs
Samupaha
If we ditch the current constitution, then we ditch also the article which tells us how to amend it.
I don't think it is a good idea. That would be very messy and could cause a lot of unnecessary and chaotic fighting.
If we set the precedent that it's ok just to ignore the constitution, then it will be more likely to happen again in the future. It would be better to play by the rules (even if the rules are not optimal), which means in this case that we keep our current constitution in effect until there is a referendum that amends it.
If the current constitution is not in effect at the moment, then how can we do a referendum? No matter what the result is, people could question its legitimacy.

I actually prefer a different approach
I think everyone benefits if more votes come to the table
I'm working on that now
More ppl.
More whales
More balance

I saw this page. why the performace gap of CPU of BPs are so huge.

they arent. they are all within 12ms
they used to be alot more crazy. some were over 3000 ms
this is the 30 day chart for reference
shows very clear progress. I am proud of all BPs for stepping their game up

The stats show an account with 59 BILLION tokens voted. That's 58 billion more tokens than actually exist.

this is the vote weight, not number of tokens

Through psychological association, the current organization known as ECAF and the concept of Dispute Resolution at the base layer have been invariably linked. It is my opinion that we have passed the point of no return where these are viewed as two separate concepts: unless drastic measures are taken, they are now and will forever be ONE. In other words, for right or for wrong, currently, Dispute Resolution equals ECAF.
