It's odd that all of those people think its a great idea to keep us locked up to help the environment when its those exact people from governments and corporations who have repeatedly ignored opportunities to help the environment. They strip away ease of repair of consumer devices such as phones or appliances which in turn causes endless amounts of electronic devices just to be thrown into landfill. The tons and tons of oil spilt in the oceans throughout the years due to poor managment and maintenance. The literal tons and tons of waste dropped into the ocean by the governments who claim to be managing waste efficiently and doing so with regard to the environment. Obviously not, otherwise instead of over a billion masks being in the ocean or billions of water bottles in the ocean they would've taken it upon themselves as the multibillion dollar organisations and corporations that they are to recycle as much as they possibly can. Surely if The environment is so important to the world governments right now they would have invested in clean and renewable energies much much sooner. After all it wouldn't have got this bad if they done so. Yet we are to blame? we are the ones to lockdown when even through lockdown there was only a 7% drop in global carbon emissions. The smog above cities cleared and the air smelt clean and fresh, but thats within domestic areas. What people dont see when walking through a town or cities are the mega industrial plants hidden away in the world away from society who contribute to the majority of the worlds waste and greenhouse gases on a daily bases.
