I've been told to 'Repurpose' my thoughts and creations to other platforms but not to 'Copy-Paste' them as it is a lazy method of spreading the message. The whole point, How I see it, is to display myself and my works in a public space and to share links to my sites to gather an audience on my personal website.
That'll work but not everything should be repurposed, otherwise what is the point of going to my website if the readers have already read what I posted on a platform? It's similar to creating an ebook from blog posts, The creations are all there but what makes the (e)book worth purchasing is the additional content inside the creation such as a deeper take on the original blog post, stories related to the post, and recent tidbits that transforms the blog post into an additional experience that makes taking the time to look at the (e)book worth it.
A lot of users on Web 2 are tired of having a personal blog post though and are instead just creating on a social Platform with no links to a personal site. There is less 'Repurposing' happening and seemingly no purpose in a creation(Blog post, Video, Audio).
The whole point of creation, again, to me, is to utilize it for a purpose and benefit from it. If others benefit from it as well than great! If not though, then it's just filling a space being 'useless'.
Useless is not the name of the game I am playing. These creations(Blogs) I am working on and trying to understand in various spaces(Web2, Web3,) will have a purpose and I intend to have a space for them to thrive that is 'Mine' on a digital space.
Repurpose only makes sense if there is purpose but if there is no ownership/authority behind that purpose than the purpose truly has no meaning.
Thank you for reading.
