🛸[2] SteemNova - Tips&Tricks - Nuclear Power?-No Thanks!

Do not worry, I won't be political now ;D

With SteemNova, you have the choice of either building a solar power plant or a mine, and then wondering if it is so good to have a negative energy balance. The solar power plant is felt in the ratio more expensive. At a certain point, you then switch to the technology tree and find (in the german language package) that there is a promising nuclear power plant and begin to languish.
But STOP, let's take a closer look.

At OGame this building was always called Fusion Reactor. Why it was named differently in SteemNova - I'm over-asked - maybe so I can make this great picture for you ;D

In short, there are at least three good reasons to never build a nuclear power plant:

  1. Every building needs a field. Your planet has only a certain number of fields. If these are "built-in", you can only "buy"/build a few fields with a very expensive Terraformer. These costs are not in proportion and I would advise you at all times to use the fields meaningful (each Storage should be later in the game, for example, well considered) before you have to demolish buildings again at half price.

  2. In order to generate energy, the nuclear power station needs deuterium. You just need this resource at the beginning to be able to build the first transporters quickly (see, among other things, the necessary resources for the Combustion Drive). Without deuterium you are inhibited in development and your players in the neighboring solar systems (who usually have logged in at the same time with you) can first attack the inactive players and thus capture more resources until you are ready.

  3. In the end, it's good for your karma. You do not live at the expense of future generations, and you do not need to worry about the nuclear waste ;D

Another basic note about energy:

Make sure that your energy balance is always negative! So much for the downside that you could just balance the balance with the next power station stage.
Use the controls in the left menu under Resources as needed:

For example, if you want to do research, you need more Deuterium. Or when the Crystal Storage is full, you take down the production there and pick up the others, so you do not miss any resources.
Here are the effects and how expensive deuterium is in comparison:

Finally, briefly touched on how we deal best later in the game with the problem:

Invest your dark matter in geologists! Because if you have 5 geologists, you can activate engineers who will then provide you with extra energy on a permanent basis:
