Hello my Steemit friends, today I want to talk about the properties and benefits of Soursop or Annonaceae. It is a dark green fruit, which came from a fruit tree that usually measures about 8 meters high. This fruit tree is native from Peru, so it grows in a tropical climate, and it doesn’t stand cold temperatures.
Each tree usually gives around 15 soursops, approximately. The fruit has spikes in the outside, measures about 30 cm long, and can weigh up to 4 kilos. Inside, you can find a white meat with black seeds. Soursops have to be cut when they are hard, because if we cut them when they are tender they will not ripen well.
It is a sweet fruit that can be consumed without added sugars. It can be consumed alone, with salad, or as juice. Many people compare it with the taste of pineapple, mango, or strawberry, but actually it has a bittersweet taste.
The soursop is a fruit that provides carbohydrates, a lot of energy to the body, vitamin C, fiber, minerals such as potassium, calcium and magnesium, and also contains amino acids. It can be consumed as juice, and you can also add the leaves to the juice. I recommend taking the juice fast and not much quantity. If it is taken in juice I recommend starting taking half a glass on an empty stomach, so the body becomes accustomed to the fruit.
