Being on time when you have a meeting is not only a good thing, it's an honorable one.
The time is precious for everyone, even for those who don't value it. When you are on time, you are not only an organized guy; you are respecting others.
So many people are always late for everything. When comes to being responsible and doing their duties before the death line, they rather postpone. Their motto looks to be something like this: "Why should I do it today? Tomorrow somebody else will do it!"
I've been traveling a lot. Always at the airport, I can hear the last call for somebody: "This is the last call for the flight "X." Mr "Y" and Mr "Z" are required to proceed to the gate. The flight will take off in ten minutes!"
What on earth are people doing more important than being on time, especially at the airport? What are they doing more important than being on time for a meeting where they agree with the timetable? I understand that sometimes there are things we can't control, but not always. Everyone is excused if is not on time sometimes, but not always.
If you value the people around you, don't waste their time by making them waiting for you.
Be responsible! Be honorable! Be on time!
