Sorry about the sound again... I tried to protect my camera from the wind, and it looks like I was mostly, but not 100% successful.
We're coming up to the very end of our May challenge. At the start of the month I challenged my gym buddy back in Australia to do as many P90X sessions as possible, and a battle of the tape measure.
She's looking to lose some centimeters off her waist, and I'm looking to gain some centimeters on my chest. I don't really care, personally, but it was a fun challenge.
The person who does the most P90X sessions in the month gets flowers sent to their home... and the person who gains/loses the least centimeters has to send the other front and side progress photos.
They're just fun little things... but both of us are shy, and don't really want to send those progress photos. The other person doesn't honestly care... it's more about standing in the mirror and taking the photos than it is about the other person seeing them.
So, the fear of losing has been super motivational. For me it's been a huge influence on my diet, especially while traveling, and it's definitely gotten me up off the couch more than once. My friend is a new parent, and so she has to organise her day well to fix the exercise in.
It's been a great challenge, we've only got a day or two left, so it's mega crunch time, but I'd highly recommend challenging your friend or partner or family member. Keep it positive and supportive, and go get fit!
