Lord Howe Island - A video journey

About the video

In the Tasman Sea, between Australia and New Zealand, lies an almost crescent shaped rock, a lagoon, a reef, an airstrip, and the island of Lord Howe. It is closer to Australia than what it is to New Zealand, making it a part of New South Wales.

It has a permanent population of under 400, and the number of tourists are limited for a number of reasons. You can't camp there; and there's only a limited number of beds at the hotels, lodges, and resorts, which make up the bulk of the island's economy.

The Island is World Heritage listed, due to its diverse bird, insect, and marine life. Much of the forest on the island is untouched by human hands, and it has a number of walking trails through what feels like primordial rain-forests, full of ferns, banyan trees, and palms.

It is truly a unique place. I've been there twice, and not much changes. This video shows some of the scenery I recently captured on my trip to Lord Howe Island. I haven't done any video editing in such a long time - but I have had a camera that's been sitting idle for far too long. I hope you enjoy watching this exploration. :)
