It's been a while since I've posted a track on here, so I figured it would be a good time to start slowly posting some of the tracks that I released in August of 2011. If you followed my last EP, this one was essentially leftovers that got fleshed out later and released a few months down the road from it. Today, I'm posting the title track which I'm still proud of for some reason, largely due to it being featured in the reader Demos section of Future Music Magazine at one point.
This song feels like the one and only time my attempts at Dilla-esque sample flipping has remotely worked for me. Chopped drums with a strange swing to the with a vinyl that I flipped to provide the track. It was made quickly and it's a style that I've never quite been able to replicate.
