How many times have you not heard from your friends "how cute are you drawing! Do you draw me a picture?" typical, right? Well, it has always happened to me and it is rare that I fulfill that request. But this time I was inspired to fulfill the request that my best friend had made Adriana (of affection Valen) long ago, I never listened to her, but since she left the country I have had many mixed feelings about our friendship (the typical, you do not know what you have until you blah blah blah), one day I sent a picture of her, I was surprised how changed is currently, then I said "how beautiful, this time if I draw it! " and I set to work.

This time I did not try to be so realistic with this portrait, I wanted to look more cartoonish because she is very young and comical with her personality, a simple drawing that was not so much realism but that retained the essence of the person.

PROCESS

I started with a simple sketch, I just marked the most important lines and more features, then I made the layout with a 0.5 point marker to obtain a clearer image and easy to clean the graphite sketch with the eraser. Once the free sketch of the graphite tracings I applied the color of the skin, with a marker I filled the lips and black hair together with the blouse. Once the sketch with the solid colors was obtained, the details were applied, for the shading a stronger tone and a touch of darker color, with a silver pencil the tracings of the strands of the hair and the reflection of the eyes.
