Welcome to the @boycharliefamily DCity Collective Report written by @boycharlieplays. In these reports, my organization discusses the state of @dcitygame and how operations are going for a fictional political group roleplay. The goal of these reports is to provide information and access to additional funding from the collective to new and growing players. The @boycharliefamily membership currently consists of a solo member managing three accounts. The organization wishes to expand into open membership with other players of the game. What is it that you do in this roleplay for the @boycharliefamily Collective?
I am engaging in a roleplay of the @dcitygame. I act as a mayor and founder of a gaming group/political party. The @boycharliefamily is the Collective/Report name, the holding wallet for the family funding, and the name of the most successful city we own. Incorporating a family aspect to the group name was important as it wanted readers and other creators to feel that I am and the members of this group are closely knitted in finding success in this game. As a dedicated gaming artivist, I find it is my duty to use my Hive Content Creation business to assist in the build-up of rewards and provide access to income for players. Through the income of my managed three cities, I have been building a "family fund". So far the earned funding has been used to increase NFT holdings, SIM vote influence, and promotion of the @dcitygame for my accounts. As these reports are being made there are plans for future members of the Collective to receive access to funding, NFT's and other support needs. I am creating actions to support the promotion and growth of the game base by facilitating rewards for those who engage in our reports and community challenges. People need engagement and while the idle aspect of @dcitygame is part of it's charm there must be more for the people to do. A lot of discourse is seen in the political chambers of the main DCity discord. However now we the players must work to build more hype for the game! We must organize!
So you're making SIM and giving away SIM to players who post about DCity?
Yes. And burn it sometimes(read below). The current state of the game and active taxes in-game have awakened and shaken some players. And while running the multiple cities I play in @dcitygame I could sit here and tell you my TAXES, TAXES, and complain about @dreamm but that's not what I'm doing. Frankly, I feel the changes I needed to make have brought me growth. This project is an entry for my business to assist new players. I share my upvote and through my staked Hive tokens I have voting power that could aid in the promotion of new players who discuss their @dcitygame accounts. We need people excited to talk about their daily earnings and changes they need to make. So our organization will do some serious promotion through the engagement of members of the community in this roleplaying. Let us build a network of @dcitygame politicians all over offering guidance to new cities. Or better yet if you are building satellite cities and need resources I am seriously advocating for a leasing system. A lot of SIM got converted to build up the population total for the growth of other cities. Now I aim to market out my discord as a DCity talking place and play with other players to hold SIM and affect elections. The whales have to come to you if you have SIM voting power my friends.
Building up as a mayor, and what has worked for me
- Building the internal SIM income(HODL at least 8,000 SIM)
- Controlling Crime Levels
- Focusing on additional City Income (WEED, BEER, or GAMER)
- Creating trade deals and routes with other cities.
From where I started in 2020 I never would have thought my city would continue to grow at the level it is now. From my first Basic Home and Immigrant cards to the plethora of banks, backgrounds, and other businesses that make up my collection. Every day I sought to better understand how this game can earn me a worthwhile passive income and continue to rise in the ranking of the Top 100 Population cities. It created a new character that would be able to make change through the power of DCity.
Every day as acting Mayor of my cities I push to have my main city optimized. No Crime, No Unemployment, and a Population benefit from the cards I've obtained. Collecting the appropriate NFT's was simple enough from the market but every now and then I'd have to use SIM to mint new cards and hope for the best. I felt that having SIM regularly coming into your city is important. With the addition of Lobbying, it became clear that saving your first 8,000 SIM should be the first goal.
Some people believe 0 income is okay and that population is the most important thing. However, my issue with this tactic is that potentially you have a higher crime risk. To avoid that you wouldn't hold any cards that provide crime(Casino, Bank, or Shopping Mall). Others believe just holding onto their NFTs will bring them the income they want someday. All great tactics. And every day I log in and check on the status of the cities I manage and the @boycharliefamily continues to get better stats. We are building a larger collection of my citizen, business, and technology cards to provide the best income, population, and SIM Vote power.
The collective sees the value in NFT's that produce other Hive-Engine tokens. Whilst earning WEED, BEER, GAMER, ENTRY, and other Hive-Engine tokens available to the market was I learned about these other tribes and their innovations. With dcity ENTRY in particular it combines the efforts of supporting other games through your investment and engagement. All of these Hive products working together to build the value of this engaging community.
Staying up on the Candidacy and the current Lobbying effects
Having 8,000 SIM provides you lobbying power and access to a SIM Holder's fund with Hive Rewards. Holding a voice's share in the economy is important for voting roles and positions which we in the DCity Collective are here to inspire. We need more DCity Politicians voicing and creating that luscious hype. “Voting Power” is tallied after a thirty-day snapshot of the total held SIM Tokens. This in-game number affects player governance through our vote on President and lobbying effects. Presidents affect how many taxes are placed on the average player. Readers need to be reminded of the updates and the ways of playing. As @dcitygame players, we have a rewarding feature to advocate for leadership through the power of our account votes. The players make this decision who controls our taxes and special effects that happen in a 14 day period each election.
Presidential candidacy can be registered in the government tab for 300 SIM. If candidates provide a post of their policies it will be attached near their name. There is no expectation for doing this but it does help promote the game and the player. President @dreamm has brought the ire of the current community for how high the prices have been. Some say the value in having the tax rate this way but others are lamenting it greatly. If there is a candidate you are interested in let me know in the comments below.
