Interesting Culture Differences between peoples

It`s always an exciting new for a one to have a getaway to other countries.
While during the days in there, something news are also able to trigger motivations and curiosities of you to notice the differences between your old places and the new one.

As I am from the Northern parts of China,we have the long daily habits of drinking tea, or especially for the drink day and day. Same as most of Chinese, the philosophy we educated back the days at school teach us -----its a healthy way for ones life.
However, the people in tropical share a different way with which are totally disagree from ours. In Cambodia, when every time I keep a queue with the local Khmer workers, the people who stands ahead of me, would like to have the half of hot water first in cup, then next to drop some blocks of ice in the same cup.

It may seems a little weird to Chinese people, whereas its quite a common thing for the Khmer one. After all, the boiled water can sterilize the water. When you are in Roma, just follow what Roman do. Anyway, its quite important to be fit in.
If you do so, when you are outside in other countries, you would find that u are just on the path on a total new world. Life is short, why not give it a try?
But,sometimes, something would also bring you into awkwardness, that you can eventually look back on and laugh about.
Yesterday, a Khmer-Chinese colleague share a sample of a hat with company logo to me.The interesting part is that the color of the hat is green, which,in Chinese culture, signifies onewife is cheating on her man, which are totally against mans dignity severely. Well, I said nothing, but with a smile, then took it away and passed it to one of a Khmer friend there in the youth hostel I live at. You may call me evil, but what can I say? They do not bother by the Chinese culture at all.Plus,it`s kinda a gift, too.
There are also something anecdotes that are related with culture barriers I read on the latest news of Thailand.
A master of a temple at Wat Khao Pho Thong,Chon Bury, Thailand, has just stopped their traditional service by the reason that all the tourists, most of which are Chinese, ties all the wishing cables all the branches of the trees around the temple, which made all the views in a mess rather than a famous resort.
They take the wishing cables as a way of blessing,in a hope that the tourists can take it back home,by contrast of the two cultures, Chinese tourists would like to tie those ways as high as they can.
Perhaps, the best and easiest way is to claim those wishing cables as enchanting amulet for their families, which they surely would take them back and keep it as a treasure.
