I got a computer to strip out for the parts to build a mining rig for altcoins. This is an old Dell computer which has a pretty decent looking after market power supply. I am building cryptocurrency mining rigs to pay for our bills at home. I hope to be able to live off the profits from the mining rigs.
This old Dell computer with three PCIe slots. I have been running out of mining rig parts and cash to build them so I have been salvaging anything I can get my hands on in order to get all my graphics cards mining.
I first pulled out all the wires and removed the power supply to give myself more space to work. Next came all the screws on the motherboard. This is a Dell so there are some odd screws under the CPU all the time. This took some work to get them out but I got them eventually.
When I got the motherboard out, I then started to assembly my new mining rig. This was only going to be a three card rig but every little bit helps when you are on a budget.
I have a frame that I built for the mining rig which works very nicely to hold it all together.
First I get Windows 10 installed on a rig and then install the graphics cards one at a time until they are all working. Often I will mine for a while with each card to make sure the mining rig is going to be stable. I often run into problems where a rig crashes or freezes at times. This is more often than not due to a faulty riser or a weak power supply.
Therefore it is much easier to build the rig one card at a time and test each and every addition before moving on to another card.

I used to put all my videos on YouTube but they cut my partner privileges as they did with so many thousands of other channels and took away my pay.
YouTube is not worth wasting my time on anymore.
Now I put my videos on DIY Tube Video Community where they pay everyone to interact. You can find them here: http://www.diytube.video
