INTRODUCING....
The So, Wow! Dogecoin teeshirt on TeeSpring! It's the first of its kind, with a premium font and art, designed by me. What led me to design a t-shirt you ask?
I've been a fan of both Dogecoin and Synthwave for a long time. I regularly lurk in the Dogecoin SubReddit. There was even a time I created my very own, original Dogecoin meme. For those who disbelieve, here is the original Reddit post.
What I want is to merely help spread the word of cryptocurrency while making it fun! We see loads of hyper modern designs, shirts invoking HODL, while most rely on the original coin art or some variation thereof. That, frankly, bores me. So, I thought it would be fun to do something retro, have a little fun, and maybe, just maybe, send Dogecoin to the moon.
Now, I'm not expecting this shirt to go to the moon, but I am hoping that you all find it fun and enjoy the design. To me, it's silly and that makes it fun and sets it firmly within the Dogecoin aesthetic.
Besides, Dogecoin, my other inspiration was the 1980's retro aesthetic that is common in Synthwave, a genre of music I'm very fond of. I wanted to evoke Synthwave, the fun of Dogecoin and the carefree feelings associated with Southern California Summertime. Both Synthwave and the great Shiba in the sky make me feel good whenever I plugin to the Internet. The Dogecoin subreddit is filled with people just trying to have fun, not taking cryptocurrency so seriously while also regularly raising money for charity with the token. I love that about Dogecoin and the people who participate.
The Synthwave genre of music is definitely nostalgic, harkening back to not only the 1980's but the 1990's as well, the era I came of age in. I love this idea of taking cryptocurrency and turning it into a retro feel, like it has always been around. This is the Shiba from the 80's and 90's, when it was hip to smoke, where white linen was all the rage and where optimism reigned in America.
What a time it was to be a Shiba!
ACCEPTING CRYPTOCURRENCY
The shirt is currently going for $25. Twenty five, boring fiat dollars.
Unfortunately, I don't have a way of accepting cryptocurrency at the moment. I'm willing to look into doing some bulk orders, or something like that, where several people pay me in advance with crypto, I purchase the shirts and then send them out. I'd really love to accept Steem, Monero, Dogecoin, Litecoin and the King of Kings BTC, but that will have to wait until I have a better grasp on how to do it.
If anyone has a good understanding on how to integrate this into my Wordpress site via TeeSpring, please let me know. Also, if this price is out of your range, please say so. It seems to fall within the going rate, but I want to make it as affordable as I can, and still make it worthwhile.
MORE DESIGNS COMING
I plan on adding to this retro collection as the weeks go by. I have a bunch of ideas. Much research has been happening over here in between me creating Changelings. I've been sourcing some incredible fonts, but they cost money, so I have to produce one when I have a little extra cash to spend on the perfect font.
I'll start with Bitcoin, Litecoin and Monero. From there, I'll see which ones make sense to create for. I don't think every cryptocurrency deserves a retro design, nor do I want to take the time. There are just way too many shitcoins out there.
CHARITY
In the spirit of Dogecoin, I'd like to offer up 5% of my earnings from the So Wow! shirt to a worthy charity, but I don't have one chosen yet. If you have an idea, shoot one my way. I was thinking something for the homeless out here in Los Angeles - there is a significant problem out here with that and trash - but I have not gotten that far.
In any case, so wow, much shirt, very sunset. Have a great night!
