Previous platforms offering similar services as IAGON adopt the recent Data Lake architectures, involving information systems based on the Hadoop framework. This is based on the implementation of a NoSQL central database in which files can effectively be stored and retrieved as required. However, the implication of this is that once it is hacked, the hacker has unlimited access to the data stored. The IAGON secure lake technology when utilized in encrypting, slicing and distributing the data lake files is freezing the lake. By doing this, if by any chance the data lake is hacked, by means of encryption and decentralization( storing bits of a file in various locations), the hacker is unable/ prohibited from navigating within the data lake.
The Secure Lake is also based on the Blockchain unbreakable encryption technology. This technology operates by slicing the file uploaded by the user, into small, anonymous, heavily encrypted bits and storing them in a decentralized manner. For additional security, the only the user whos securely uploads a particular file is given the passkey to retrieve and encrypt it. This means that, even when the system is breached, the data cannot be accessed, deleted or modified in any way
