So, with the emerging of The New England Blockchain Company LLC, I'm working to continue to promote Boston Crypto Con and NH Crypto Con, two Blockchain Conferences in the New England Area. We are open to investors from all sectors, including FinTech, Blockchain, And Real Estate, and have been approached by many in the Boston Area so far, as well as in the New Hampshire area. That said, this continued promotion is taking a serious hit due to the fact that Facebook has implemented a seemingly full lockout policy to those who would promote anything related to Blockchain. Even upon appealing to allow my Educational/Awareness Conferences to be promoted on the site, they sent an automated message (see transcript below).
They are sending a strong message that they are willing to fully turn their backs on the Cryptocurrency/Blockchain Movement (my guess would be that they will return as soon as they are ready to enter the field), even in the case of non-ICOs, such as my Conferences. We are not promoting a financial product, service, ICO, or anything of the kind. There will be Exhibitors at the event that may promote such things and they will be thoroughly vetted for legitimacy via our Exhibitor Applications, but that isn't the point of the Conferences. Educators, Entrepreneurs, And Experts will bring awareness and information to the general public during these events, something that is very important to keep the momentum for the movement going. Conferences, Meetups, and other events that bring Communities together to talk about important Technologies like Blockchain Technology will help to change the world.
Below is a transcript of my appeal:
Me:
"This is an educational conference about blockchain tech, not the promotion of an ICO, cryptocurrency, or specific blockchain technology. It is for a convention that is for educational purposes."Facebook Reply:
"Hello Nathaniel,
Thanks for writing in.
Your ad wasn't approved because it doesn't comply with our Financial Products and Services Policy.
We do not allow ads that promote financial products and services that are frequently associated with misleading or deceptive promotional practices, such as binary options, initial coin offerings, or cryptocurrency.
This policy is part of an ongoing effort to improve the integrity and security of our ads, and to make it harder for scammers to profit from a presence on Facebook. You can learn more about it here.

Me:
"The ad is promoting a convention though, not the financial products that may be at the convention. This is essentially sending the message that Facebook doesn't support Blockchain Technology in general, a technology that will revolutionize many business sectors, ESPECIALLY in regard to transparent and permanent record keeping. There will be numerous educators at this convention and it will allow people to better understand the movement, which ACTUALLY will make them less likely to be scammed by illegitimate Icons. To not approve it is sending a very strong message that facebook is conpletely anti-blockchain technology, because again, this is an educational/networking convention for interested people/professionals in the field. "

Radio Silence
This was three days ago, their first reply coming in one day and the case now being closed and not opening back up. I don't expect a response and upon another attempt with another advertisement for the Conferences, I received the same automated reply. Facebook is giving a very clear picture of their support for Cryptocurrency, which makes me sad, but also hopeful at the same time. This tells me how powerful the movement is and it also tells me that Facebook will be driving many enthusiasts away from their site and toward alternative Social Media like our beloved Steemit! The Blockchain Movement is going nowhere and I'll be damned if this is going to stop me from spreading awareness. The only thing this has done is renewed my vigor and resolve to spread awareness of the movement and to let people know that Steemit is a wonderful, much better alternative to Facebook. Facebook had it's time; that time is drawing to an end. Keep Steeming And Help The Blockchain Fly!
