BCB lost the only match against Zimbabwe in the XI. The preparatory match was held at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Wednesday.
BCB, led by Saif Hassan, batted first and scored 142 runs for 7 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Zimbabwe left the field with three wickets in 17.2 overs.
Zimbabwe got the win in the opening match. Taylor-Masakadza added 42 runs in 4.5 overs. Skipper Masakadza, who hit 31 fours and four fours, broke the pair. Afif Hossain injured him in the off-spin. Afif sent Craig Irvine (4 off 6) and Shawn Williams (2 off 6) to the field. But Zimbabwe could not suppress Zimbabwe XI. On one side, Taylor was like a wall.
Timisen Maruma left the field to bat at number five and won the match with a great accompaniment. Taylor was unbeaten on 57 off 44 balls. Maruma, on the other hand, scored 46 off 28 balls. Afifi took 3 wickets for Bangladesh.
