On this day, Kenyans demonstrated nationwide to raise a voice against corruption following a recent expose that saw KES. 9 Billion squandered from the National Youth Service and more in the Kenya Power & Lightning company, National Cereals & Produce Board, Ruaraka Land Scam, as well as Water Cartels. The Kenyan state officials have been stealing monies meant for development and stashing the monies in foreign accounts as well as cleaning it through real estate ventures. This has lead to lower production, less money circulating in the economy, increased cost of living, high unemployment rates, and increased poverty.
