Cooking Recipe: "Puto"

INGREDIENTS:
1 Kilo all purpose flour or cake flour
1/2 kilo of butter milk
3/4 kilo of white sugar
50g baking powder
8 cups of water
salted egg, cheese, ham (optional)

PREPARATIONS:

In a large bowl or casserole, combine flour, sugar, buttermilk and baking powder. Mix well.

Add water and continue to mix and stir until no lumps into the mixture and batter is thin and smooth.

Now you are ready for steaming..

DIRECTIONS:

Fill a steamer basin three-quarters full with water. Cover and bring to boil over High heat.

Using a small brush, lightly oil each of the puto molds with vegetable oil or butter.

Place the empty puto molds to the steamer and arrange then pour the batter into the puto molds. filling each mold almost full to the top and top with cheese, salted egg or cheese..
Then Cover and steam for 10 minutes.

Remove the steamer lid and wipe off the moisture with a kitchen towel.

Remove the puto from the steamer. Allow to cool for 2 minutes before removing from the molds.

Then do the same step for the remaining batter.

You can also give them as a souvenir or giveaways.. or better make it a business. You can sell them for lower price..
