One of the new things that we are revealing to you guys! We have this goal that every time you think about Confidence Project, this is the first image that comes into your head. What other confidence-related things can you think about that starts with letter C?
Hello everyone!
We have been gone for a while, but hopefully, the hasty ticks of time made our short hiatus unnoticed. In the context of this initiative, we have always been keen on putting substantial effort to our work so that we can provide important points that will be valuable to you in your journey of cultivating your self-confidence. It’s undeniable that we are so excited to share what we have for you guys!
From the title of this post, you might infer that there are some changes that will be done in our project. If you have thought of the same thing, then we should say that you are right. Before we reach that point, it is worthwhile that we recall the humble beginnings of The Confidence Project, as we can easily see later on where the project will be heading to.
Recalling the Progress
The small steps that our project has covered were unexpectedly accepted and supported by the community. From the manifesto post that contained our goals and objectives, we can feel that people are looking forward to hearing us and participating in our challenges. Two relevant Takeaways were then released by the project: the first post which tackled on determining your areas of focus and the second one which highlights the importance of establishing your motivation. We have received a couple of entries for our challenges and their responses would attest that there is a necessity for this project to continue making waves.
Hitting the Next Goals
Our next target is to achieve increased visibility and participation from the audience. We believe that as part of achieving significant growth, The Confidence Project should be talked about by more appropriate audiences and be supported by them by being not just a participant, but also as a big part of the project’s journey. We hope that in the months to come, you will remember our project as something that has helped you along the way.
With the goal of achieving this, The Confidence Project will be entering its first transition.
The Change of Skin
Here are the changes that you are about to see:
We are transitioning from our brand name The Confidence Project to Confidence Project. Upon consultation with an advertising arts professional, brand recall is a key element to be considered in a brand identity. As a rule of thumb, the more words a brand name contains, the lesser the brand recall will be. Thus, in line with our new objective of increasing our visibility and participation from our audience, we have decided to drop the “The.” This project will now be officially called as “Confidence Project.”
In addition to our brand name change, we are also re-aligning our brand identity to its personality. Initially, the banner of the project is stiff and direct: it aims to only see the dimensions of the initiative which were: the self, inner circle, small groups, and community.
Our first banner for The Confidence Project.
Despite the banner’s aim, it did not fully embody the personality of our project.
Confidence Project's new banner.
This is the new image of our project. The color scheme was carefully chosen to depict the characteristics of confidence that our project is promoting: bold but not intimidating. The contrast between the colors yellow and purple depicts the boldness of its presence. It doesn’t aim to intimidate. Rather, it aims to draw more people to it. Achieving confidence requires boldness, not intimidation. We are aiming for you to identify with our personality through this color scheme.
Word marking was also used instead of imagery. We wanted to get this clear message across:
The Confidence Project relaunch posters.
Using icons and photos to express this message might be misinterpreted as we imagine that our community will be composed of diverse individuals coming from different backgrounds. Furthermore, confidence in this project pertains to the potential that is already in all of us. In a way, having only used words in our brand identity allows for you to incorporate your own personality into your confidence journey.
Launching of Confidence Project’s FB Page
We are also excited to launch Confidence Project’s official FB Page. We intended for this to be the centralized portal of the takeaways as we take turns in hosting them every month. We can also see how our community grows over time with this. We hope for you to interact with us easily through here too.
Don't hesitate to check our FB Page! You are then in the right page if you see this cover photo.
Apart from connectivity, we also wish to foster transparency on our FB Page. We will be updating you guys on our progress in both our writings and confidence project efforts. We have day jobs and other aspects of our lives to take care of. We have to adapt our writing schedule to our lives. Thus, we will make sure to post ahead of time if we won’t be able to deliver on our posting schedule. This is our way of showing value to your time as well.
Reach us Anonymously
We have noticed that not a lot of people want to open up in a very public avenue like our mainstream social media sites. We have devised a way to cater to you by creating our new email address – confidenceproject2018@gmail.com. You can send in your challenge entries here. We promise to keep your information safe. If we feel the need to share your story, we will be doing so with your permission.
So, are you ready to take us with you on your journey to confidence?
The relaunching of Confidence Project will never be possible without the full support of @legendarryll. He is our advertising consultant and the creator of the new banners, stamps, and posters of this project. The new look is a true manifestation of his prowess. Thank you very much Dar! <3
