WhereIn On The Road - Community Version 1.0 Launch & Delegation Plan

Hello Steemians!

A week ago, we announced WhereIn in our first English post (WhereIn - A Steem-based lifestyle social media platform). Since then, we have received great feedback and support from all over the world. We’ve been contacted by many of you via Discord and Wechat. All these are much appreciated by us!

We have just started this long journey, and we will try to reach our destination through hard work. We believe in a better future than we could ever imagine, and it requires our joint efforts.

Community Version 1.0 Launch – Build Your Own Communities Based on Your Interest

Community Version 1.0

Earlier we released the public beta of Android(iOS is closed alpha), and now we are launching the Community function for Android. Though it’s a simple function, it’s an important step towards our goal of supporting many communities to thrive on Steem.

We know that Internet used to be a big distributed community, and it has grown into private gardens surrounding influential social platforms. Users play in their own gardens separated by walls. Almost 3 years ago, Ned Scott and Daniel Larimer started Steem community with the secret weapon of blockchain technology. It’s based on the consensus of giving value back to the value creators. The walls were broken down. Today, the community is using the same unified system in which anyone could visit the data node and connect with each other based on the Steem agreement. Steem has broken the wall and brought us back to the individual-centered time.

With the same idea and technology, WhereIn has developed a new simple community function to enable each individual to build self-centered communities (tags). Small communities combine into bigger ones. Individuals connect with each other and create new communities. Each community is independent and is connected to each other at the same time. We have a preliminary model in mind about the final community module, but it’s only an envision at this stage. So we have launched the first version of WhereIn community, and we invite you to explore with us and to improve it along the way. We look forward to your test use and feedback!

Steemkillers Game Is Coming Soon – Play Games with Your Friends and Co-create a Detective Story

Steemkillers

Gaming has played a vital role in connecting the EOS community. Negative effects aside, this innovative attempt has inspired us. It has introduced blockchain technology to traditional internet users in the form of entertainment. This is a breakthrough in our eyes. We have been thinking of how to design blockchain games and how to integrate them seamlessly with Steem system. Eventually, we find a solution, and we would love to share it with the Steem community.

Mafia Game used to be very popular among PC internet users worldwide. I’m an outdoors fan, and I enjoy playing the game with my climbing buddies at night. Yes, it’s the Mafia Game that helps break the ice and brings new friends closer by building trust.

Similarly, in line with the theory of blockchain being a trust machine, Steem connects individuals in its community. So we’ve been thinking about utilizing the Steem system and developing a fun social game that you can play with friends and be rewarded. As a result, we have created Steemkillers. You can delegate SP, play Mafia Games and create together. The winners’ posts will be upvoted with handsome rewards. This is our attempt in developing a new social game based on Steem blockchain system. Steemkillers is currently being tested and will go live with WhereIn Dapp after the Chinese New Year. We are looking forward to creating the legend together with you!

Early Bird Token Rewards Delegation Plan – Let’s Build the WhereIn Community Together

Early Bird Token Rewards

At last, let’s talk about the delegation plan. After we posted “WhereIn - A Steem-based lifestyle social media platform”, many friends asked us about the delegation plan of WhereIn, and we have been delegated 30K SP by 21 users in total. We apologize that we didn’t provide enough details on our delegation plan earlier.

Our goal at this early stage is to develop a great tool for Chinese users based on Steem blockchain, so more users can join Steem community and be benefited by blockchain technology. Currently, the Chinese community is still small in size, so delegation plan is a good way to bring in more Chinese users with collective efforts. With the principle of value going back to its creators, we are starting the following Early Bird Token Rewards Delegation Plan:

1. Early Bird Token Rewards

All delegators are allocated 7200 tokens according to the amount of their delegated SP. The token rewards will be reduced to half of its previous amount in each of the following 6 months. After the WhereIn Token is released, Early Bird Token will be exchanged with WhereIn Token in a certain rate.

A. After we release the WhereIn Token, at least 100 SP delegation is required to receive WhereIn Token rewards;

B. Each qualified delegator will start to receive 50% of the WhereIn tokens after its release. The left 50% will be awarded within the first week after the 6-month period.

 C. The delegation will stop and be announced when it reaches 300K SP.

2. Curation Rewards

All the curation rewards of WhereIn will be given back to delegators. The daily curation rewards of WhereIn will be shared to delegators the next day according to their delegation amount.

3. Upvote Rewards

Before the release of WhereIn Token, delegators will be upvoted in the power 10 times of your delegated SP amount once a day. Delegators who post with WhereIn will be supported by more upvotes. The left power will be used to upvote other WhereIn users and supporters, so more traditional internet users can be brought into Steem community.

Let’s grow together in this exciting journey!
