After about 9 months of development I looked at what the game can offer and I decided it is time to officially declare it to be in beta stage. But before I explain what that means, let me explain what Claimants of reality enclave, or CORE, is.
At its core... it is a text-based MMORPG rogue-lite. You can play the game currently through discord here https://discord.gg/WSqaFRVH. When you join you can start playing with !claimcharacter and I recommend reading the getting-started notes. Don't worry, it is not that much to read. On the other hand, if you don't like reading, well, text-based game... Anyway you can join in and claim a character. You send your !commands to perform actions in the game world and a number-input based dialogue system guides you through the experience. You can explore the game world, fight monsters and get stronger or you focus on the economical side of things with crafting and playing the market. Land and buildings are coming soon too. If you want to know details, there are 7 dev blogs with details here, but you don't really have to read those to play, they are more to explain the ideas and systems.
So for those who want to join in and play, there will be stuff to do. Barring unexpected circumstances, next Monday a campaign will be started ingame (did I mention the game has campaigns that drive the world building and story forward?). This campaign will be to settle the outskirts and will require a lot of effort from the playerbase as a whole, which will be compensated with rewards. Leaderboard, scoring thresholds and a raffles. Apart from that, the campaign will be a great way to experience parts of what the game has to offer.
It really depends on player activity how long the campaign will last, but some time after it finishes, I plan to take a snapshot of how much FAVOR (the ingame currency) each player has. An equal amount of $FAVOR, the on chain token of the game, will be airdropped. You can read the ROA(M)D dev blog number 7 for details on how the token will work.
It is a great time to jump in and become a CORE player!
