Philippines celebrates long Christmas in the world.
Ber Months
- September
The ninth month of the year and the first ber month that makes everyone and every Filipino happy. Why? Because, 1st September we hear christmas songs played on radio stations. It makes us feel Christmas is here. 😀😀😀 We also sing Christmas songs we love. On the 3rd week of the month we will be starting our countdown for 100 days before Christmas. 😍😍😍
Sadly, September is the month we lost our beloved grandmother. A sad part that we no longer celebrates Christmas with her. But, I'm pretty sure she's happy in heaven now.
- October
The tenth month of the year and the second ber month that keeps us Filipinos more excited. It means that it is less than 100 days before Christmas and we keep on counting. 😀😀😀
- November
The eleventh month of the year and the third ber month. We are celebrating All Saints Day and All Souls Day. Some have halloween parties.
It is the month also that christmas lights and decorations will be seen. It could be everywhere in malls, offices, schools, streets and homes. It makes us feel the spirit of Christmas.
It is the month that children even the oldies gets more excited, happy and starts singing christmas carols house to house and they'll get few pesos and divided it by themselves of what they got.
- December
The twelfth month of the year and the fourth ber month. 😀😀😀 We are now busy buying gifts for our loved ones and godchildren. It seems that everyone is happy. 😀😀😀 Almost everyday and nights we hear singing christmas carols.
It is the month that Misa de Gallo starts on the 16th December til Christmas come.
It is a month of Christmas day. Yes! It's Christmas! The Savior Jesus Christ was born. 😀😀😀 A joyful moments attending Mass together on Christmas Eve with family and a happy moments with them during Noche Buena with lots of food and gifts to share.
I remember my childhood, that on the 24th day of December, me and my siblings will hang our socks because Santa Claus will arrive to give our christmas gifts we wish while we are asleep. Then on christmas day we will check the gifts we have. We may get upset because what we got are only candies, biscuits and few coins. What we wish are not granted. Our parents will tell us that Santa Claus can't afford our wish. I am wondering why Santa Claus can't afford what we wish for. Now I know why. It's because my parents are my Santa Claus. They are the one putting candies, biscuits and coins to our socks. They can't afford the gift we wish because they have nothing to give. But of course, as parents to us they exerted effort and love just to make their children happy in their very own simplest way.
Also on the Christmas day, it's the happiest day to us children because we receive gifts from our godparents.
This time around is my time to give back and share blessings. 😀😀😀 I am now the one who share gifts to my parents, siblings, loved ones and godchildren. I am now a godmother of more than a dozen of children. Aside from my family, it is a big number of children to prepare and to give gifts. 😀😀😀
I am so excited to be home again and create a memorable moments on Christmas and New Year. 😀😀😀
I am happy to give and happy to see them happy.
Happy Ber Months Everyone! 😀😀😀
Steem On! Bright Blessings! 😀😀😀
