Today, when I went to the shopping centre, I was thrilled to hear a brass band playing Christmas Carols and well known Christmas songs. As I neared the entrance, there seated was the Salvation Army Band.
Perhaps to many Steemians, this would not be as awesome as I found it, simply because in your country this would be a familiar sight. Where I live, in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, I haven't seen or heard these bands for years. The shops that I frequent really do not have festive atmospheres.
However, I sat listening to the band and the music took me on a long trip down memory lane, and today I can truly say something awakened, and I felt the emotions I have associated with celebrating Christmas. I am motivated to bake the shortbread, ice the Christmas cake, and think about wrapping presents.
Praise God for people who are happy to share their talents and time with others and bring home the spirit and joy of Christmas.
Blessings
