WEALTH AND LUST

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Wisdom without God is like an empty skull that shines in the outside, but the inside is dead.

Life is not a bed of roses, its a battle field. We fight to stand. Two things are involved either you stand or you fall, either you are rich or poor. Riches does not come to lazy people, but a foundation that's well prepared is stress free. The poor live in their poverty and believing God for deliverance. The rich live in their high esteem and over look the poor. God for is the creator of them all, He is not a partial God, He causes His light to shine on the good and he evil. Good people n thee good attitude are not always appreciated, but the bad people always grow in grace and power.

In a community, there lived a good leader that refused to be subject to the evil deed of the community, but instead brought light to the community, and later plucked out by the bad people and God allowed it so.

When a good leader dies, the whole town will mourn, but when a bad leader dies the town jubilates. I have seen an evil under the sun according to Solomon in Ecclesiastes that good people don't last long but bad ones increase in wealth, it says: all these are vanity. Solomon said: I the teacher was king of Israel, and I live in Jerusalem, I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore my wisdom everything been done under heaven. I soon discovered that God has dealt a tragic existence to the human race. I observed everything going on under the sun, and really it is all meaningless like chasing the wind. What is wrong can not be made right, what is missing can never be recovered

With Solomon's wisdom and wealth, he still discovered that all is vanity. When a father lay a solids foundation for his children, the children will struggle less because wealth has been deposited for them.

David lay a solid foundation for Solomon to lean on. Solomon did not know anything called struggle nor stress because the foundation of wealth has been made for Solomon. But David was stained by the garment of immortality before Solomon was born, because he lusted after a woman having her birth, killed her husband and took for a wife, it was that same woman that gave birth to Solomon.

The foundation of Solomon was lay on immortality. Much to Solomon's wealth, the stigma of lust could not leave Solomon. That is why today the rich have their problem and the poor as well have their problem. All this things are part of our lives, some are meant to inherit wealth while some are meant to inherit poverty. The case of Solomon inherited wealth that became a problem to him. When you have wealth you can enjoy life the way you choose to, you will no be limited to anything that you desire, but the poor are always limited.

Ecclesiastes 5:8:11

Do not be surprised when you see a poor person been oppressed by the powerful, and if Justice is been miscarriage throughout the land. For every officials is under orders from higher up. And matters of justice get list in red tape and bureaucracy. Even the king milks the land for his own profit. Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness. The more you have, the more people come to help you spend it. So what good is wealth except perhaps to watch it slip through your fingers.

Solomon discovered in his wealth and satisfaction he could not get true happiness. He had seven hundred royal wives and three hundred concubines. Just as David turned the heart of Uriah from her husband, this is how the wives of Solomon turned his heart from his God. In his wealth his wives were able to control his heart, Solomon that starter well in the fear of God. God even prospered him more than his own father David, but he did evil in the sight of God. The people that God asked the children of Israel not to marry, Solomon went to them and married them. God could no longer control and lead Solomon as His servant.

Wealth is good but it does not bring true happiness, the more you get wealth the more you desire pleasure. Solomon discovered that in all his wealth others are coming to tap from his wealth, this same people, Solomon realised that they have true happiness more than him. The wives and concubines of Solomon could not give him true happiness that he deserve, his wealth could not remove the stigma of lust from him. In his wisdom, he could not control his urge from women.

Solomon asked for wisdom and God gave him wisdom that the one that has ruled before him including his father David. But in his wisdom and council to others he could not council himself, his wisdom could not control his urge for women.

The weapon that can destroy a man so quickly is un satisfaction. When you are not satisfied with your spouse, you go out there to look for the women that would satisfy your urge, but still you will not get the said satisfaction you desire because if your wife can not satisfy you, no other woman can. This was the case of Solomon, in all his desire to be satisfied by pleasure he could not get satisfaction.
If you love wealth you can never be satisfied with wealth. If you love pleasure you can never be satisfied with pleasure

Psalm 130:1-4

From the depth of deepest oh Lord, I call for your help. Hear my cry oh Lord. Pay attention to my prayers. Lord, if you keep a record of our sins, who oh Lord will ever survive?. But you offer forgiveness that we might learn to fear you.

When David realised his mistakes, he repented from it and became more closer to God and God called David a man after my heart, because he knows how to say "God am sorry". From proverbs to songs of Solomon, there is no place Solomon told God that he was sorry for his wrongs. There is no place that Solomon praised the name of God, but rather gave his praises to women.

Songs of Solomon 4:1

You are beautiful my Darling, beautiful beyond words. Your eyes are like doves behind a veil. Your hair falls in waves like a flock of goats winding down the slope of Gilead

It is where your heart is that is where your treasure will be. Solomon's heart was corrupted and connected to list, he gave his attention more to list and forgot about his God because he did not break the foundation of list that he was connected to.

Conclusion

Your father might be wealthy and leave wealth for you, but you have your own problem to solve because in our high and low esteem problem is a part of our lives, but God has given us the strength to tackle them when we are willing to turn our heart to him.
