Ministering the Spirit

Hello Beloved
Welcome,
We continue our teaching series

We continue as we read our text 2cor 3:1-6

2 Corinthians 3:1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
3:2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
3:4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not ofu the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
The new testament wasn't written on stones, but the heart. The Spirit is what imprints the new testament in our heart

You must have some absolute fact. One absolute fact is that the ministry of the new testament is of the Spirit

Jesus is God in the flesh. That's an absolute fact

When you know some absolute fact. It will enhance your study of God's word

God is light...There's no darkness in him AT ALL. That's absolute

Understanding of some absolute facts will enhance your study. Using that lens to study will help your study

Always read in details. Know the content not just headline.
Your loyalty to the written word must be undivided

John 16:12-16

John 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

16:16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

The disciples couldn't understand Jesus because of the state they were .

John16:12-16" when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth"...

The spirit is the real deal

To understand the ministering of the spirit ,you must understand the character of the Spirit

1cor2:9-10

1 Corinthians 2:9 'But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.'

The spirit has revealed it to us in the epistles...it's not "revealing".

Be careful of people that says The Spirit has told them or reveal something that's not in the scriptures.

The epistles explains the New Testament. We have an understanding of the new testament from the epistles

The ministering of the Spirit is free.
#1 U minster freely without charge
#2 You don't have to do anything. Just Believe

It's all about what God have done,It's not a give and take !

Luke 6:26-38

Luke 6:26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
6:27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
6:30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.
6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.
6:32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
6:33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
6:34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
6:36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 6:37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Jesus is discussing conducts between men and comparing it with the father .

God is not reactive!

You minister freely! Our father gives freely!

The new testament ministry is free!

When God gives. .he doesn't add anything to it.. He gives freely. No works!

The new testament ministry is not a give and take ministry. It is ministered FREELY!

When you understand this, you just burst into Thanksgiving

The deceiving Spirits is the one that paints God as dependent on what you give before he gives

when you add something to it. That's another gospel!

Gal 1:6-7

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

Who's perverting the gospel? The one saying that something else must be done!

Gal 1:6-9

Galatians 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

How do you know them? In their message!

What do you to them? Mark them out.

Accursed (Grk:anathema) doesn't mean start cursing them. It means mark them out.

How do you test the spirit? Through their message.

Not some spooky way.

2John 1:7
For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

The spirit of error is deception.
You know it by the message.

The Spirit of Christ is seen in the message. Testifying of Christ.

Hebrews 11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. 11:28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

The blood (Spirit) is the mark/seal. We've passed from death to life as believers.

We'll consider the word "Anointing"

New testament ministry is not symbols.

Let's check different shades of the word anointing .

Anointing/Unction (Chrisma) A smearing , an endowment of the Spirit.

Mark 6:13 And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

"aleiphō" To rub with oil

Mark 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; 6:8 And commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no money in their purse:

Jesus didn't tell them to anoint or go with anything. He commanded dem that they should take nothin for their journey

James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

John 9:6 When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, 9:11 He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.

John 11:1 Now a certain man was sick, named Lazarus, of Bethany, the town of Mary and her sister Martha. 11:2 (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)

John 12:3 Theny took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment.

Mark 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

same word
aleiphō

Mark 14:6 And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. 14:7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. 14:8 She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.
(murizō) To apply perfume

Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

(egchriō ) to rub oneself #ClcUyo

chriō which means To smear or rub by contact. But much more to consecrate to an office.

It's also used for endowing a believer with the spirit.

chriō (Gr.)
Acts 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, ,
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

2 Corinthians 1:21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

Hebrews 1:9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

(mâshach)
Genesis 31:13 I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.

The first mention in the Bible. Which means to rub as a sign of consecration,to smear

Exodus 29:19 And thou shalt take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram. 29:20 Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about. 29:21 And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.

Exodus 30:25 And thou shalt make it an oil of holy ointment, an ointment compound after the art of the apothecary: it shall be an holy anointing oil. 30:26 And thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the congregation therewith, and the ark of the testimony, 30:27 And the table and all his vessels, and the candlestick and his vessels, and the altar of incense, 30:28 And the altar of burnt offering with all his vessels, and the laver and his foot. 30:29 And thou shalt sanctify them, that they may be most holy: whatsoever toucheth them shall be holy. 30:30 And thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office.

Exodus 37:29 And he made the holy anointing oil, and the pure incense of sweet spices, according to the work of the apothecary.

You see the anointing was to consecrate priests and kings

The anointing is for consecration into priesthood.
And believers have been made priests and kings.

Revelation 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 1:6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

God himself has anointed us!
We have the Spirit ,Glory!

From all we've said, it's anointing oil needed by a believer?

NO!

#ClcUyo

If there's an "Holy Ghost or power " in any bottle ! It's because we put it there!

#CharisHouse

The anointing(Spirit) has separated you and endowed you ..The ability of God is in you!

The anointing is not in the bottle.. It's in you!

We continue from here next week. Sure you we're blessed! Thanks for being part of the service.
