40,000 people still remain in Evacuee Camps.
This is only a fraction of the 150,000 which were in camps while the Alert Level was at 4.
Quite a few events have occured since #helpbali2017 received it's last submission, I will highlight some them in this post.
As always, if you want to stay up to date on all the efforts achieved by the many amazing charities helping us out here on Bali, Indonesia, follow MountAgungRelief Facebook Group and follow @charitysteemit, the charity account currently raising funds to help the Evacuees Of Bali.
Level 3 Alert Level
There are still 40,000 people living in evacuation shelters unable to return to their homes. This is because the local government advises people to not return home if their homes are located within 6 kilometers of the crater of the volcano.
We are dealing with the unpredicatable nature of a volcano here.
The alert level could be raised back to level 4 or the volcano could even erupt at any time.
The focus is still on education and empowerment to help ensure that community leaders can look after their populations if the volcano's activity increases again.
The potential danger facing an unprepared populace remains significant.
Recent Supply Drops
On November 14th the Mount Agung Relief team brought rice to evacuees.
This was because they received many reports of extremely low food stocks in the remaining evacuee centers.
In Sangem, 453 evacuees from Yeh He (near Sebudi) only had enough rice left for their evening meal and nothing else, not even salt.
Agung Relief are currently providing cash to trusted community members to purchase food supplies, so Rio Helmi and Eko Teguh Paripurno (pictured above) headed straight to the village with their donation. We feel this is an important way to keep the local economy going.
PSA Videos
Mount Agung Relief also posted the below video to teach the local community how to wear the masks which will protect you from the volcanic ash in the case of an eruption
Mount Agung Relief also released a video teaching people about water filters and the importance of clean water.
And finally we released this video teaching people proper germ etiquette, it may be the largest contributing factor to any disease spreading through the camps so I was very happy to see this video released 👍.
Evacuees have now spent 8 weeks in temporary accommodation,
without any indication of when or if an eruption will even take place. But the Mount Agung Relief effort will continue to support their evolving needs. As will the @charitysteemit account here on Steemit. Currently run by @samstonehill & @chron.
You can see below we are very close now to achieving the half way point towards our goal of $1000 and we are sincerely grateful to those of you who have donated. A full list of donations is displayed at the bottom of this post.
JouLite 150
It has been decided the Sundaya product you can see here will be the most useful to these people.
It gives them light and a USB charing port.
When we hit $480, we will use this money to buy 15 solar of these kits.
When we hit the final target of $1000, a total of 31 kits will be out there in the hands of the Balinese people.... thanks to you the people of Steemit.
We will document the entire journey, from Steemit to the moment these kits are handed out, so that there may be no doubt what your STEEM/SBD is being used for.
It has been amazing to see the response from the Steemit community over this and I personally can't wait to hand out these solar kits!

Thank you @petrabali for your consistent focus on helping the people of Bali with your work.
Creating toilets has been a huge part of the relief mission
150,000 people have now been evacuated from their homes and many of them are living in poorly funded camps, unable to provide the most basic of facilities. Leading some of them to even make the journey home, potentially putting their lives in danger. Since the alert status has gone down, only 40,000 evacuees remain.
How can you help?
STEEM/SBD Donations are being accepted in the @charitysteemit account for the purchase of these solar products & water filters too, when the value of STEEM goes back up!
Once the products have been acquired, we will document them being given out to the evacuees of Bali.
A Bitcoin donation QR code is displayed on the @charitysteemit account banner.
All donations will be logged and listed here on a weekly basis.
