Introducing Ertach Kernow - Cornwall Heritage from a Celtic nation 〓〓

Ertach Kernow is Kernewek, the Cornish language, for Cornwall Heritage and in this blog Ertach Kernow will be sharing news about Cornwall's heritage along with other news from Celtic nations. This is not a political blog and is about Cornish and Celtic historic, cultural and environmental heritage, which is what makes each Celtic nation unique drawing us together.

Cornwall or Kernow in Kernewek is one of the six Celtic nations all of whom have their own languages. The Celtic languages are of two types P Celtic or Brythonic Celtic languages spoken in Kernow, Breizh, and Cymru (Cornwall, Brittany and Wales) and Q Celtic or Gaelic Celtic languages spoken in Eire, Mannin, and Alba (Ireland, Isle of Man and Scotland) There are great similarities between the three Brythonic languages and also between the three Gaelic languages with some between the two groups.

As a member of The Celtic Congress Cornwall (An Guntelles Keltek Kernow) we at Ertach Kernow share and work with like minded people in the other five Celtic nations to share and promote our individual Celtic national culture and heritage. Branches of Celtic Congress from all six Celtic nations are members of the International Celtic Congress.

Ertach Kernow is a blog and weekly newspaper article one of the activities of the Association for Cornish Heritage that promotes Cornwall’s heritage through visual presentations, websites, social media and museums.

We look forward to sharing lots of Cornish heritage news and that of other Celtic nations in support of their cultural heritage, especially their individual languages. I’m sure there are many independence social media sites for those wishing to talk about that, but not here please.
