Members of The Royal Family attended the Christening of Prince Louis at the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace, London, UK, on Monday. Prince Louis, the youngest son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, was peacefully sleeping in her mother’ arms as he arrived at the ceremony.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte, holding their father’s hands, first appeared with Prince William, Kate Middleton and their youngest sibling as the family of five during the ceremony.

The 11-week-old prince was baptized by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby at the chapel. The mother of the prince was heard describing her son as “very relaxed peaceful” and told the archbishop that she hoped he stayed like this, reported BBC.

Prince Louis’s grandparents the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, along with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, also presented at the Christening.

However, the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh did not attend the Christening. They had reached an agreement with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge “some time ago” and the decision was not thought to have been made on health grounds, the Buckingham Palace said.
