I'm looking forward to giving you a brief introduction to Metasource Games' Castles NFT !

Castles NFT is a Blockchain Game about building up a Kingdom!

In Castles NFT, you play the role of a great ruler in the land of Castelia, and your goal is to acquire wealth, power, and influence through a variety of means and methods! Castles is played on the WAX Blockchain, a carbon neutral chain with NO GAS FEES! Its played fully in your browser, and is completely mobile compatible!

The most basic NFT involved in the gameplay is lands. Lands earn Metasource tokens (MSource) passively while you hold them in your wallet, in real time, which you can claim at any time! These tokens are used to merge lands from one tier to another, starting with the lowly Farm, all the way up to the mighty Castle! Each land takes both an amount of Msource and 3 matching lands to merge to the next tier! At the final tier, the Castle, you also earn a Royal Seal every day!

Speaking of Royal Seals, they are very important to understand!

First, if you ever need to buy any, they can always be obtained from Metasource Games directly via a permanent drop for exactly $5 in WAX. You're also welcome to get them on secondary markets if they're cheaper! Any Royal Seal sold by Metasource Games puts exactly 50% of the WAX into the Royal Courthouse Wallet for monthly distribution to its holders - more on that later!

Second, what are they used for? The answer is: A ton!

Royal Seals are the backbone of the economy in Castles! They're used in events, recharging crafters, and a lot more! To really grasp their significance, we need to understand crafters and events, so we'll explain that next!

Crafters - Barons, Lumberjacks, and Carpenters

There are currently three types of Crafters in Castles, the simplest perhaps most important is the Baron!

Each Baron you have working for you will produce one NFT land every single day! These are usually farms, but rarely you can get a higher tier land! After minting you land for the day, a 24 hour cooldown is started that you have to wait for before minting another. After 7 days of minting, you'll need to use a Royal Seal to 'recharge' your Baron for another 7 days of minting lands!

The other two types of Crafters are similar to each other, and they fuel Castles' events!

Lumberjacks, and all other crafters, function similarly to Barons in that they must be recharged every 7 days to keep minting and they have a 24 hour cooldown between minting. What they do and what it costs to recharge them is where they differ! Lumberjacks mint between 2-3 'Lumber' for you each day, and recharge at the cost of 4 Royal Seals and 400k MSource! They're the gatekeepers in the crafter economy, and their cost is not arbitrary, its tied to the weekly gains from a Castle! You can expect on average that for each Castle you have, you can recharge one Lumberjack per week!

Carpenters are the refined crafters, they take the Lumber from the Lumberjack and shape it into 'Fine Wood' for use in events and land pack crafting - more on this soon!

Carpenters mint between 2-3 'Fine Wood' daily and recharge with 6 Lumber and a Royal Seal.

But what are these 'events' that we haven't explained yet? Metasource Games NEVER sold any Lumberjacks or Carpenters! So where did they come from..?

Events are one of the main elements of Castles gameplay - use your tokens and Royal Seals to make new NFTs during time-limited windows!

Events are super important for Castles NFT! The very first event ever held, back in March 2022, was the Lumberjack event! Players used 1 Royal Seal and 100k MSource to craft a Lumberjack, as many as they could manage in the two weeks the event was live! Our second event happened in April and the Carpenters were crafted with Royal Seals and Lumber!

After the crafters were established, the fun really got started! Castles introduced Wonders to really spice up the game!

When a Wonder is crafted, players are actually helping build a single, massive gameplay element that effects all players - not just the builders! The players who help build the Wonder are rewarded with Wonder Bounties, essentially shares of ownership in the Wonder itself!

The first Wonder created by the community was the Royal Courthouse, which manages the distribution of the Royal Seals! All holders of the Royal Courthouse bounties are rewarded with an airdrop of WAX monthly based on how many bounties they have and how many Royal Seals were sold that month! Almost all drops from Metasource Games also features 10% of the revenue to the Royal Courthouse fund, you can check the wallet yourself anytime: 'msroyalcourt'

The second Wonder created was the Explorer's Guild which manages the player's ability to use Fine Wood to fund Expeditions and Voyages to claim more lands for their Kingdom!

Through Land pack crafting, players also earn our game's second token, 'Runesource' (RSource) which is an important resource for crossing between the main Castles gameplay and our upcoming expansion!

Dungeons Rising - New Expansion Coming this Fall!

Dungeons Rising is the new Expansion that is currently in development! It features a system where players equip one or more of three Heroes to battle NFT Monsters and collect awesome loot and accumulate Wealth! Wealth comes in the form of Treasure NFTs that can be converted into our third token, Treasuresource (TSource), which is used throughout the Dungeons experience, from crafting Monsters to recharging Heroes stamina so they can fight more Monsters!!
