Cars 🚘 and Coffee ☕️ Meet held in Plano, Texas and Nationwide! Check this out! 🔥

Hello Steemit Car and Motorcycle fans!

The revving of the engines, the screeching sounds of tires peeling out, the intense smell of gasoline in the air, the crowds of people standing on the sidelines cheering on burn outs, and a gathering of thousands of people excited to be able to fantasize about dreaming and living the high life of owning a muscle car. Yes, this is reality. What place is this you say that is for all ages and people who love vehicles? This place you dream of is called Cars and Coffee Meet. Since 2008, it is a location where people gather with friends, family, and coworkers within the community to discuss cars and total life goals. It is the epitome and definition of the true American Dream. Cars and Coffee Meet, in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is held every 1st Saturday of the month from 7:00AM-11:00AM CST at the Classic BMW parking lot located at 6800 Dallas Pkwy, Plano, TX 75024, near the Dallas north Tollway and West Spring Creek Parkway. Admission is free. They had several food truck vendors on site, however, to my surprise, they were not selling any coffee that I was aware of, but maybe it wasn’t available this time because August is blazing hot in Texas. Moreover, thousands of attendees had cups of coffee that they picked up prior to the event and brought from either Starbucks or Einstein’s Bagels nearby. What I loved is there were so many exotic cars like Porsche, Ferrari, McLaren, and Lamborghini. However, they still had classic cars like a Chevy Bell Air, Volkswagen Beetle, Camaros, Fords, and Corvettes so there was a fantastic variety of vehicles for all car and motorcycle enthusiasts alike to enjoy.

I would recommend getting there very early for multiple reasons. First, there is no designated parking area and Plano is a city that is home to numerous corporations, thus, unless you live nearby, you have no choice but to try and find a parking space throughout multiple business parks. I arrived around 7:30AM and parking close by to the event was already completely full. The business parks are enormous and spaces were scattered throughout an area of at least 5-6 blocks minimum. Next, those who participated in bringing their cars for display for the event, had people clear out of the way and left the premises with their vehicle a little before 9:00AM, leaving numerous empty spaces. Moreover, there are no portable bathrooms but one can go into Classic BMW and utilize the facilities. Lastly, right now with the intense Texas heat and the entire space being open, even though it’s early in the day, be sure to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. Since there is no covered parking, whenever we have inclement weather, the event is cancelled. As such, Cars and Coffee Meet in Plano was cancelled in May, June, & July of this year. Fortunately the weather was sunny and hot so Saturday, August 5th it was on! Woot! Woot! Overall if you love supercars, muscle cars, antique cars, exotic cars, classic cars, and motorcycles, Coffee and Cars Meet is the place to be!

Well you may say to yourself, but what if I don’t live in north Texas and want to attend!? Don’t worry at all you’re in luck!!! Cars and Coffee Meet is held nation-wide throughout the United States. It is held in places such as Columbus, Ohio, Mechanicsburg, PA, Clay, NY, Millstone Township, NJ Malibu, CA, Scottsdale, AZ, Las Vegas, NV, Charlotte, NC, Greenville, SC, Alpharetta, GA, Oklahoma City, OK, etc. However, please note that dates and times vary per location. For example, Plano Cars & Coffee is only a shine event. If it rains, it is cancelled. It is also held the first Saturday of every month. On the contrary, Alpharetta, GA Cars & Coffee Meet is held the last Saturday of every month from 9AM-Noon; the Georgia location is a rain or shine event and they also offer complimentary pastries and coffee for their guests. Lastly, some locations have closed or moved to another location. For example, the cars and coffee meet in Orlando/Celebration, FL is currently closed. What I was pleased to find out that it costs $250/parking space for vendors to rent spaces at the event, but all proceeds are donated to a different local charity every month! It is a fun free event for the entire community and for a great cause!
