When I was young and trying to get into a university, there was a phrase I heard a lot, coming both from relatives and teachers:
"Choose your course wisely, because it will become your life's career"
Today, 15 years after my graduation day, I confidently say what a big lie that statement is.
I graduated as Civil Engineer, and for 10 years I thought that my career was locked in that field.
Those were great years and for a long time, I loved my work. I had good progress in my professional life reaching a good position as a Project Manager on a few big Construction projects.
But life is weird… You have a well-paid job, a great family, you are happy and life is good!
Suddenly, everything comes crashing down on your head and the world stops making sense.
