Today I'll be sharing a poem with depression as its central theme. It captures the trauma and pains of depression and addiction.
However, it ends hopeful as he resigns to keeping strong and 'take a stand.'

Broken. Unnoticed Misunderstood.
Here I am
Again on cloud nine
No drinks, no drugs
Just this fate of mine.
A lot's been going through my mind
And my mind can't hold this kind
The pressure and tension
They surpass all I could ever mention
I've been down this path
Like my mind's autopilot solving math
I ain't slow or even high
Just these to stop my cry
Yet I gotta say them
You never understand
These words I speak firm
From below I take a stand
Even if I stand alone
In pains I'll moan
Yearning in misery.
Awaiting victory
