Idealists in Business School : Why not?
"I think you should go raise goats in Larzac instead!"
We will admit it, most of the students we met during our different training, who oriented themselves towards the world of marketing, sales and business management, were not idealists. We must not make any confusion, but this is often due to the education and social class of young people who follow this path. These trainings are not among the most affordable, and are only accessible to people who have the means, or those who commit themselves by borrowing from banks. The question of equal opportunities then already arises... already yes from the first article unfortunately.
We will talk about this kind of training but it is important to understand that to undertake, create, imagine and conceptualize a project, the main ingredient is your desire.
"I don't think talent exists. Talent is the desire to do something, that's all, everything else is sweat work" Jacques Brel
Young business school students, trying to take a benevolent and sustainable look at the business world, were also encountered. That’s why we want to present you the history of MyFood company, founded by former business school students.
This presentation allows us to support the idea that everybody who feel the soul to undertake, to create, to federate and to upset codes, have their place in this Schools, whatever their political convictions or vision of life and organization system. It is even urgent that more and more "idealists" open the doors of these business schools, in order to graduate with the required diplomas but above all business intelligence, network and skills that will enable them to realize their projects.

Permaculture and Aquaponic Greenhouse Connected
"Reconnect to your food"
This is the story of three young entrepreneurs, including an agronomist and two from business schools who started their individual careers in big companies. Convinced that people are able to produce their own food locally, and persuaded by the idea that people need to reconnect with their food, they decide to set up Myfood start-up, which designs and distributes connected Greenhouses that combine aquaponics and permaculture (words that my word corrector emphasizes in red... funny but pathetic).
Via a commercial site open to the international market, they also offer you all their products to maintain and develop your crops. What's more, you can buy with Bitcoin !
Their approach is in 4 steps:
- Cover your soil with a layer of compost and organic wood
- Creating Auto Fertile Permaculture Mounds
The company offers Regenerating Mulch, which turns your green space into a productive garden. More precisely, it is pre-composed Raméal Fragmented Wood, with a mixture of compost and a "clay-humic complex". The objective is to follow Permaculture principles by bringing the land back to life, which will increase production yield.
- The Connected Greenhouse
- Vertical Aquaponia
Let’s have a look to this amazing innovation
The Connected Greenhouse
There are various models of greenhouse, 14 or 22m², which do not require any building permit. They can be equipped with pellet stoves or solar panels in the colder regions.
"The greenhouse is anchored to the ground and has four self-opening dormers to regulate temperature and humidity independently. The installation is done in one day!"
And this is where Myfood philosophy comes in, because they support citizens' initiatives launched in municipalities and cities to promote this approach to food autonomy. So they propose to make it connected
"We add a radiation or air quality sensor. This environmental information can then be shared with the community."
Vertical Aquaponia
In the form of vertical towers with an integrated basin, the device is associated with the connected greenhouse with a configuration between 6 and 24 towers. A mobile app will then allow you to monitor the health of these kits. The principle of aquaponics: the pond full of fish that provide nutrients, in contact with the roots of plants, nourishes crops. The water that is then filtered returns to the basin and so on, the loop is closed.
In summary :
With a 22 m² greenhouse, you can feed a family of 4 with organic vegetables and fish throughout the year. Vertical cultivation can be adapted to small areas.
“Myfood promises a yield 18 times higher than traditional soil cultivation”
“One greenhouse for 4 people can supply up to 400 kg of vegetables and herbs per year”
Which Results? The company has deployed more than 50 greenhouses throughout Europe, mainly in private homes, but also in restaurants.
