Chemicals mixed food is a very heinous crime. If any of the chemicals are not mixed with food rather than judging which one is safe, & which is not safe, then it is definitely good. Because no chemicals are not safe. Today, which seems safe, harmless, it may be known tomorrow that it is very disgusting, cancer producers, kidneys, liver damage. For example, in the case of benzene and dichloromethane, the chemists used these two chemicals for a long time, and later found that they gave birth to cancer, so now everyone is very aware of the use of these two solvents. So, we should maintain our respectful distance with chemicals.
The Environmental Protective Agency (EPA) was established in America as a result of a massive movement against the loss of chemical substances on the environment. As a result, a safe data sheet (SDS) is available for any chemicals currently marketed. The harmful effects of the Chemical Industries, storage, security, etc. are given in this sheet. Before using any new chemicals, everyone should try to figure out as much as possible about chemicals. What is the effect of chemicals on a lot of people is not given in these datasheets because people are not tested on drugs unless they are drug users. So sometimes the FDA lifted the medicine from the market & similarly, the sale of harmful chemicals is prohibited. So there is no alternative to the user to be aware of itself.
Nowadays, daily commodity-packaging, processed foods, various chemicals, preservatives, etc. are mixed. Business organizations say these are zero fat, zero calories, zero sugar, there is no harm. It may be right, but the chemicals that are being given to maintaining taste and quality, these are to be passed through our body's metabolic system. What is happening in many countries is that the 'Non-Food Grain' chemicals are mixed directly into the food, which is a very bad thing, anti-human crime, there is no sign of policy ethics. A short discussion of the chemicals that are mixed in the food:
Calcium Carbide
It is used for ripening fruit. Ethylene gas is produced from calcium carbide, which helps in fruit ripen. Low levels of ethylene gas are not harmful, due to the volatility it mixes with the air, resulting in no direct damage to the human body. But as a result of this increases the amount of Volatile Organic Compound (VC) in the air, & the damage to the environment, the air is polluted. The main disadvantages of the use of calcium carbide come from the adulterated arsenic and phosphorus. The harmful side effects of which are diarrhea, vomiting, disorganization, bleeding, chest pain, skin irritation, swallowing, breathing, etc.
Ethephon
It is also used for ripening fruit. Apart from this, ethylene gas is produced in small quantities, as well as phosphoric acid and chloride ions. There has been no long-term research on humans with the harmful effects of Ethephon, but, there was not much harmful effect on animal studies.
Formalin
Formalin is the most heinous of mixing chemicals in food. It has long been recognized as the cancer producer. In the biology laboratory, formalin is used to preserve the specimen. The dishonest businessman uses formalin to keep fish, meat, and fruits fresh. Formaldehyde is a very active chemical compound. It can only have side effects that enter the body. If entering a small amount is more likely to be bronchitis and pneumonia. & if the excess then death. Kidneys, liver and all the organs of the body are affected.
Banned Pesticide
Fau's research has confirmed the presence of internationally banned chemical compounds such as DDT, Aldrin, chloramine, and heptachlor etc. in Bangladeshi food. NFSL( National Food Safety Laboratory)examines the chemicals found in these carrots, beans, tomatoes, lettuce, capsicum, bananas, apples, pineapples and mangoes in the market. Aldrin found in milk. 50 percent of the vegetables and 35 percent of the toxic chemical mixing. If these toxic substances are absorbed in the body then the chances of cancer, reproductive problems, and many other lethal diseases continue to increase.
Chemical Color
Another horrifying thing in Bangladesh is that the dishonest businessmen mix the chemical color to make the food bright, shiny, fresh. Heavy metal in these colors such as lead, chromium, and arsenic produce cancer, kidney and liver damage, and abnormalities in the growth of the children.
Antibiotics and Growth Hormones
If there is no pesticide or formalin in the meat, then the meat of the market is harmful. They are given various antibiotics and growth hormones because the animals of the farm to keep them free from disease and grow faster. These chemicals in their short life are not completely drained from the body. From there, these antibiotics go into the human body.
Melamine
A few years ago another strange thing happened that the use of melamine in crushed milk. Melamine is a nitrogen-rich organic compound, used to make plastic, color, fertilizer, and cloth. Because the melamine's color is white, it can be easily mixed with milk. As a result, the amount of protein shown in milk test is high. If excessive melamine is entered in the body, stones can be made in kidneys, kidney pain, neoplasmic infections and inflammation.
No other country can be found anywhere where people knowingly mix poisons in food. And people bought it from the market. We are constantly eating poison.
